Our film training courses enable students to fulfil their desire for cinema and to develop their own vision of the world and their point of view as authors. Students are thus prepared for the audio-visual industry, in a wide range of professions in film, television and transmedia.

BA in Film Studies
Over the three years’ course, you will discover the diversity of film writing, from documentary to fiction. The programme emphasises films in tune with today’s world, while encouraging risk-taking and the exploration of areas of hybridisation between genres. As a student in Film Studies you will learn to master the techniques of filming, sound recording, editing and post-production. Through theory courses, you will also cultivate your vision, critical thinking and ability to express yourself.

Film directing major
With the Film Directing major you will deepen your technical knowledge (handling complex cameras and multi-channel sound recording) while learning to master the entire creative process. Together with your colleagues in the Editing and Sound majors, you will make two main films: one fiction and one documentary. In your final year, you will mainly work on your BA graduation film. The programme includes courses on production, distribution, selection and festivals.

Editing major
Thanks to the Editing major you will learn to master professional editing, special effects and graphic design software. You will practice by editing the films of your colleagues in the Film Directing major and deal in particular with the challenges of sound editing. You will consider editing as a creative act in its own right and will deepen your knowledge by exploring different narratives.

Sound major
With the Sound major you will benefit from advanced sound recording training, while working on conceptual workshops and developing your knowledge of professional software. You will consider sound as a real tool for reflection and creation. You will work on your colleagues’ films in the Film Directing major in collaboration with those in the Editing major, to define the method and sound strategy specific to the film, carry out the sound recording during the shooting, collaborate on the sound editing and carry out the mix.

MA in Film Studies
The aims of this Master is to help students develop their creative abilities and technical mastery in filmmaking, editing, screenwriting, sound and production. Teaching methods are adaptable to the specific features of the students’ projects, whether documentary, fiction or focused on hybrid forms.
